Festival Fun with fair2all

If you are thinking the Ashby Arts Festival has come round very quickly, it may have something to do with the fact that the dates have changed: It is now from Friday 3rd – Monday 6th May. So don’t miss the Retail Window Trail – Retailers will be making a display in their windows and you will be asked to ‘Name That Tune’. Trail sheets will be available from Friday 3rd May from fair2all or can be downloaded; ashbyartsfestival.co.uk

As the days get longer and hopefully the weather gets warmer and Ashby welcomes more visitors, fair2all will continue to open on Mondays (except Bank Holidays) from 10.00 - 2.30. If I have to alter the opening hours for the rest of the week from our usual 10 - 4, I will post it on fair2all’s facebook page.

Having virtually completed the changes to the shop exterior with new signs and colouring of the fascia, I am now turning my attention to developing fair2all’s website so that we can sell to businesses and others who wish to sell fairly traded crafts but for whom it is impractical to buy in the large quantities that most wholesalers require.

The opportunities to buy ranges of fairly traded crafts in small quantities have decreased since I started selling Tearcraft nearly 40 years ago. I therefore feel it is vital that small sellers of fairly traded crafts can buy in small quantities, so this is what I want to offer through fair2all’s website.

I am therefore attending courses to learn about ‘e-commerce’ (selling on the internet) so there may be an occasional morning or at least few hours when I am on a course and I am unable to get cover to open the shop.
