Deeper Disciples
| Hi everybody,
I’m back with a few book recommendations, now that many of us have more time to read (and I’d love to receive some recommendations from you too, so we can share them here!). |
| Groups are a key component of our share life as Holy Trinity Ashby. Whether or not you have a connect to one of our (many) groups these are the backbone of our life together, the spine which holds us up and channels our communications. |
| Our church Warden Emerita brings us notes from her archives, including: The Reformation Wall, The Lamb, John Calvin, Thomas Kelly, Humour |
| Thank you to all of those who have given feedback on our first go at Sunday Worship (starting on Mothering Sunday, 22 March). This simple format of a video using just words on the screen and audio has worked well for a lot of people. |
| In 2019 Trinity Life (the magazine of Holy Trinity Ashby) moved online. This was a cause of sadness for some, and marked the changing of the times. Now that change has accelerated and we are being asked not to put items through peoples letter boxes |
New Disciples
| Our Mission links with the Church Mission Society in Argentia. |
| SESH (Sunday Evenings Sometimes Happen) meet on the 2nd and 4th Sunday’s, and is for KS4 young people who want to explore further their faith and ask questions, eat pancakes, pray and worship with others their own age. |
Loving Service
| The vicars (clergy) got together this week for an extra-ordinary chapter meeting where we reviewed how we are approaching various aspects of the Covid-19 crisis as the Church of England. I thought you might value knowing some of what has changed. |
| During the Covid-19 crisis we have been taking a range of steps to enable volunteering. |
