Funerals

Most funerals at St Matthews are taken by the Rev Stephen Brook, Steve Clowes (Reader), or Kathy Hart (Pastoral Assistant). If you need to arrange a funeral please contact one of the local funeral Directors.

Please note, if you want to arrange a memorial in our cemetery, you can find St Matthews Churchyard Regulations dated 2021 here.

If you wish to make enquiries about the interment of ashes, please contact the Deputy Churchwarden Christina Walmsley who will help you make the necessary arrangements.
 

Memorial Mason applications

For memorial masons making an application for an additional inscription to an existing monument or application for a new monument at St Matthew's in accordance with our churchyard regulations listed above please contact Emma Harris. Please note that applications have to be forwarded on to Tim Phillips to be approved and there may be a delay in approval depending on existing commitments.
