Between Ascension and Pentecost we would like to encourage you to join in with Christian's around the world as part of Thy Kingdom Come
Thy Kingdom Come is a global prayer movement for the 9 days between Ascension and Pentecost, a prayer time which dates back to the early Church. This year it falls between 14th and 24th May but feel free to pray all month too!
This year's theme is God with us and how the Holy Spirit is at work in the world. As every year the heart of this is the prayer for 5 - praying for 5 people you know well who do not yet know Christ that they may come and do so.

Pray for God in our workplaces. For our local workplaces and for those in our churches who work further afield. Pray for us as witnesses where we work.

Pray for events in our town. Pray for Christians in positions of influence in their organisation and leadership. Pray for bravery to stand up for God.
Nationally

Pray for the work of Chaplains in the UK - in hospitals, Universities, prisons, armed forces etc Thank God for those who serve in these roles and labour for God in these places.

Pray for the local elections and the newly elected representatives. May they show good leadership for the benefit of all.
Internationally

Pray for those who are hungry and pray for those who are persecuted for their faith. Choose one country from the Open Doors watch list to pray for as a household.
